The Linux operating system is a collection of the work of some of the brightest minds on the planet, thousands of individuals collaborating to create the ultimate operating system, stable and powerful, yet flexible and easy to use. This was the dream of Linus Torvald, and it has blossomed into a beautiful reality.

The majority of the web servers in use today on the Internet use the Linux operating system, partly because it’s free, but more so because it’s in many cases the best alternative. The CBT Nuggets web servers are running Linux for performance and stability reasons.
