Bloody Viking

There are many websites, which despite many disclaimers, sell user information such as email addresses to spammers. This means that registering for many apparently promising websites leads to spamming of your email address. Not anymore. Bloody Viking is a Mozilla Firefox extension that allows you to create a temporary email address via 10minuteemail and anonbox services (web services) which saves your primary email address from spam.

Instead of giving your  email address to every website you signup with, simply right-click on the email address text box and click on the Bloody Viking option. This will fill the email address field with a temporary email. You will be directed to a mailbox that will be available for set period of time. This extension is quite a useful tool to avoid spammers and unwanted emails and to be able to sign up and verify accounts for websites that may not be very reliable in securing your personal data such as your email address.
