Earlier, we reviewed an application NetCon Manager which lets you create multiple profiles for saving different network profiles. The application usage is based on the fact that your PC at home and in office must have different network settings. For instance, if you carry laptop/netbook everywhere, it’d be tiresome to configure network settings each time you move back & forth between office and home. Today we have yet another network profile manager – myIPTool, which simplifies the whole procedure of configuring network settings each time you move to different location. Compared with NetCon Manager, it has one novel feature which gets it over the line – Speedtest. You can save multiple profiles in it and conduct a speed test to find out the best connection available.
The application is pretty interactive and has intuitive usage. It sits in system tray, letting you choose one specific profile from the user-defined list. Running it for the first time requires configuring DHCP settings, before entering IP address (internal), subnet mask values, default gateway, and primary DNS server address, it is recommended to specify an appropriate name of the profile and save it. Beneath the DHCP settings, you have options to save and delete the profile. You can start off with creating as many profiles as you want for different locations.

DHCP settings can be changed from main screen, when the settings are enabled or DHCP is renewed, it will show a pop-up message over the system notification area.
From Speed Test menu, you can conduct a test by specifying either already set DNS server address or any open DNS address to find out the best connection speed. The application was tested on Windows 7 x86 system, it runs on Windows XP/Vista/7.
